What is APE
ApeCoin (APE) is the governance and utility token of the Yuga Labs ecosystem — the team behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection. Launched in March 2022 and governed by ApeCoin DAO, APE is used for voting, payments within Yuga products (including the Otherside metaverse) and partner integrations. Despite a high-profile launch, the token has fallen sharply alongside the broader NFT market.
